AND TUNISIANS ABROAD
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Solidarity and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia announces the opening of candidacies for the
Prize of the President of the Republic for World Solidarity
in its Seventh session (2010), under the following conditions :
1. This Prize is awarded to individuals, thinkers, artists and intellectuals, or to organizations and associations that distinguish themselves, at the international level, in consolidating the culture of entente, cooperation and solidarity among peoples, as well as in anchoring and promoting its values and concepts.
2. Governments, international or regional organizations, NGOs or individuals may present the candidacy of individuals and/or associations and organizations for the Prize of the President of the Republic for World Solidarity. A candidate may not himself present his own candidacy.
3. The candidate must not have won prizes, during the last two years, for the publications, works or artistic or cultural productions submitted as part of his candidacy.
4. Candidacy applications must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae for individuals or a brief presentation for associations or organizations, as well as by an explanatory note indicating the designated candidate’s contribution to the promotion, consolidation and anchoring of the culture, values and concepts of entente, cooperation and solidarity among peoples.
Letters of recommendation from individuals and/or organizations may be joined to the application.
5. The prize consists of a financial reward of 25,000 Tunisian Dinars. A diploma of honor, a trophy will also be granted
6. The Prize of the President of the Republic for World Solidarity is awarded on the occasion of the National Solidarity Day celebrated on December 8 of each year.

8. Candidacy files must be sent, before July 1st, 2007, by registered mail or by international mail in the name of the Minister of Social Affairs, Solidarity and Tunisians Abroad to the following address : 27 Boulevard Bab Bénat – 1006 – La Kasbah, Tunis)
or to the Tunisian embassies abroad
